Smokey Ketchup-based Barbeque Sauce

Description: I love a good tomato-based barbeque sauce and this sweet, spicy, and smoky tomato ketchup-based barbeque sauce is sure to shine at your next summer cookout!
Yield: Makes about 2 cups of sauce.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup ketchup
3.5 oz smoked Chipotle in Adobo (roughly ½ of the small 7.5 oz can)
2 Tablespoons stone ground mustard
4 cloves garlic, grated
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup water
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons liquid smoke seasoning
1 1/2 Tablespoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste
Directions:
Blend sauce components in a high powered blender until smooth.
Add the sauce to the pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes on medium low heat, stirring frequently, until thickened.
Use immediately on baked or grilled meats like pulled pork, or chicken. Store any unused portion in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
