Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Description: It's fall and that means pumpkin flavored things...for those who like pumpkin. Here is my version of the Starbucks pumpkin spice syrup that I like to use in various drinks and desserts.
Yield: Recipe makes 1 cup of syrup (roughly 14 -1 tablespoon servings)
Ingredients:
1 cup water
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup pumpkin puree
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground all spice
Instructions:
Add all ingredients into a saucepan and turn the heat to medium. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
If you are making this syrup for drinks, I recommend straining out the solids using a fine mesh strainer. If you are making this for pastries or other food recipes, I would recommend leaving the syrup unfiltered for maximum flavor.
Pour syrup into an airtight container. Cool and store in the refrigerator for up to one week. When ready to use, be sure to shake well before using.
