Homemade Salsa

Description: Salsa may be considered one of the most popular summertime dips for chips of all shapes, sizes, and varieties. This is my go-to recipe for a quick and tasty salsa that is sure to please!

Yield: Recipe makes roughly 3 cups of salsa, serves 2-4

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium Roma tomatoes

  • 1 small yellow onion, very roughly chopped

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar

  • 1-2 jalapenos, seeds removed (optional)

  • ½ cup Cholua Hot pepper sauce, or preferred hot sauce

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, about ½ a bunch

  • 1 lime, juiced

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground coriander

  • 2 tablespoons sambal oelek, or garlic chili sauce

Directions:

Add everything to a food processor and pulse several times until desired consistency is reached.

Remove the salsa to a serving dish. Serve alongside tortilla chips or other preferred chips.
