Ginger Syrup

Description: Want to add a bit of sweet “zing” to your cocktails and other drinks? This quick and easy ginger syrup will do just that....and more!
Yield: Makes roughly 12 oz. of syrup, for approximately 4-6 drinks
Ingredients:
1 cup ginger, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp lemon juice, to brighten
Directions:
Add the water to a small pot on medium low heat. Add sliced ginger and steep for 15 minutes on medium low heat. Remove ginger and save to reuse in another recipe or discard.
Add the sugar and continue simmering for another 10 minutes to dissolve the sugar.
Remove from heat and allow to cool. Add to an airtight glass container and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. Lasts for 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.
